Students who are interested in enrolling in the MCPSS Academy of Virtual Learning must be motivated, responsible, and independent learners. Requirements for enrollment include, but are not limited to:

• The student must be a rising 6-12th grader.
• The student should be at or above grade level for reading and math.
• The 6 - 9th grade student must have a 75 or higher average in each core subject area from the previous school year.
• The 10th-12th grade student must have a minimum 2.5 GPA.
• The student must have excellent attendance and discipline.
• The student must be at his or her appropriate grade level based on the student's cohort year.
• The student must have passed all courses from the previous school year.
• The student and guardian must attend a 1-hour MAVL orientation after being accepted.

*A review committee will evaluate all received applications with the final decision resting among the administration.
